To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ — Ephesians 4:12 (ESV)

My Story – Joseph Siacunco, M.Div., C.P.A. (inactive)

Accounting wasn’t my first calling—it’s something I stumbled into, only to realize God was redirecting my path. I went to seminary, sensing His call to ministry, and spent 12 years serving in nearly every role imaginable: keeping the books, leading volunteers, serving on leadership teams, and mentoring others in their faith.

With a Master of Divinity, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and a CPA license, I’ve come to see my work as more than numbers. God has given me a gift for streamlining and cleaning up accounting systems. One of the churches I served gained a reputation as the “gold standard” for clean financials and audits. But my favorite part isn’t just getting the numbers right; it’s helping leaders see the story their financials tell, turning data into insight that guides their ministry into the future.

Through Mission Forward Accounting, I now aim to use this unique blend of ministry and financial expertise to empower the Body of Christ. I believe that when ministries have clarity in their finances, they can move forward with confidence, stay focused on their calling, and see God do more than they ever imagined.

Most importantly, I view this endeavor as a ministry first, not a business. While there are costs to operating, my priority is to get to know you—your heart, vision, passion, and even the struggles you face.

Let’s work together to glorify Jesus Christ.
